This page discloses who pays for a placement and what they get for it. The index is computed without regard to sponsors.
What enters the index
The index measures one price: the counter price of a Döner im Brot. A menu deal, a box, a dürüm, a plate, a vegetarian or a children's portion do not count; they are shown but never aggregated. Every price read from a website is read twice. If the two readings disagree, no price is published and the case goes to a person. A price with a confidence below 0.75 appears on the shop page but does not enter the median.
Editorial independence
Money buys attention, never a number. A sponsored entry appears above the register, outside the ranking, and shows the price and band as actually surveyed. No sponsor influences the survey, the order, the price, the band or the median. No sponsor sees the survey before publication.

Correction or removal
Operators may request a price correction, name removal, or complete delisting. Requests are reviewed; until a decision is made the entry stays unchanged.
A confirmed delisting removes the shop from the index and register. Corrections are checked manually.
