Principle

We are a price statistic, not surveillance. No user accounts, no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. We collect as little personal data as possible (data minimisation under the FADP).

Server logs

On access, the host (Hetzner Online GmbH, Deutschland) processes technically necessary connection data for operation and security, without combining it with other data.

Price reports

When you report a price we store the price and a salted hash of your truncated network range (/24). We store neither your full IP address nor your name. The hash exists only to limit mass submissions.

Photo uploads

An uploaded photo of the menu board is used solely to read the prices. It is not published and is deleted after review. Please do not upload photos in which people are identifiable.

Analytics

Where enabled, we use cookieless, anonymised traffic measurement (Umami) with no personal reference. No cookies are set and no data is shared with third parties for advertising.

Retention

Prices are kept as a time series (business facts). Photos are deleted after review. Anti-abuse hashes are kept briefly.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and objection. An operator of a listed shop who wants to correct or object to an entry can write to admin@doenerindex.ch.
